With the assistance of winemaking and viticultural consultants Nils and Kirk Venge, this unconventional blend combines 73% sangiovese with 14% cabernet sauvignon, 7% petite sirah, 4% viognier, 1% syrah and 1% muscat canelli into a wine that is balanced and fresh. Aged in new and one-year old French and Hungarian oak barrels, the Pazzo is crazy with cherry fruit and wood spice. The 2004 vintage was awarded 90 points by Robert Parker and described as "Outstanding."
